Robot Build

Building the robot was fun, arduous, and frustrating, and an experience I'll never forget. we started of pretty slow, just building the frame and attaching the wheels. Eventually we started to work on the second part of the frame. One of the biggest frustrations was the waiting for all the parts, they always took longer then they said they would so that really hindered our speed of the production of the robot. but we eventually got the parts and we built the robot as everyone knows. overall it was a really awesome experience that I learned a lot from and hope to be able to do it again.

Crazy Match

The craziest match in the regionals happened during the first day's practice matches, we where in it. The fuzzy pink teddy bears of doom had to test their mecanum wheels and therefore had no control of their robot. they repeatedly slammed into us but since our robot is so big we didn't get to damaged but about halfway through our right side broke down so we thought we where finished, during that one robot actually fell over, the teddy bears crashed into another robot and pushed it into a corner and broke down trapping him. then somehow when one of our victors came back online and we where running of three engines, so it was pretty much us and one opponent for the rest of the match. After the match we talked to the pink bears and found out that they hit us so many times they literally broke themselves, their bumper came off, their battery disconnected, and their wires snapped.

Regionals

The regional's weren't as crazy as I thought it would be, because the stadium wasn't that big. although it was pretty loud and there was something always going on, there where a lot of cool people there although I didn't have much time to do anything since every half hour we had to go back out to the arena and compete.

Chain Fix

We had so many problems with the chains it was ridiculous, not even the people at chief delphi could help us make our chains work. I got the idea to move the chain closer to the wheel but ultimately it didn't work. we finally got them to work at the expo but they kept getting too loose. at the last minute of the second day of the expo we finally got the working perfectly, but still those chains are really a pain, heh.

Pneumatic Fix

We are going to Atlanta, somehow... we actually won, and got enough money.

I just found out a way to make the robot actually work better on the pneumatics thanks to the people at chiefdelphi.com
It should make the pneumatics actually make the ball fall off the rack finally, so are robot might actually do something.
So we are going to implement at the Nationals!
